And the best part, if you install it yourself you can place the sensors wherever you find it more important, on whatever doors and windows you want, without worrying about running wires through the walls between them and the control panel.

Installing wireless burglar alarms can be easily achieved even if you’re not an electrician, just by following some simple steps:

Find an easily accessible place for the control panel, for example by the front door, however don’t place it somewhere where it can be easily seen from the windows outside. Place it close to an electrical outlet, and for monitored wireless burglar alarms, you’ll need to place the control panel close to a telephone line also. Think of the most exposed places, and put the door and window sensors where a burglar would be most likely to try to get in. Also, make sure that the motion sensors won’t get accidentally blocked by furniture, and will not be easily avoided by a burglar moving through your house.
Screw in the control panel to the wall and connect it to an outlet, either by wiring it or just plugging it in. If you wire it directly to the outlet a burglar will be less likely to tamper with it, but even if you choose to plug it in, it should have a back-up battery in case it’s unplugged or there’s a blackout. Also, don’t forget that monitored wireless burglar alarms must be connected to a telephone line.

The siren or lights must be installed and adjusted somewhere they can be easily seen and heard, but not easy to tamper with by a burglar.
Use the keypad to program the control panel, following the steps in the instruction wireless burglar alarms manual.

Wireless burglar alarms have several sensors that have to be installed on doors and windows. Each sensor has a transmitter so it can signal the control panel, so be sure to place them away from large metallic areas or any electronic equipment that might interfere with the signal. Adhesive work also, but for more durability, install them with screws.

After you’ve properly placed and installed all the sensors, program the to work with the control panel by following the instructions in the manual.

Wireless burglar alarms are quite easy to install if you follow the proper procedures and the steps in the instruction manual, and are a great investment when it comes to the safety of your home and family. However, make sure to properly install the system, and test it afterwards to make sure it sets off an alarm when someone walks past the motion sensors, or when doors or windows are opened. Also, make sure that everyone in the family knows how to arm and disarm it or recognize the signal for low battery.
